Our fully managed live in care service in Wiltshire means that all our carers are employed by us whilst they care for you. A local care management team of care experts is on hand to provide support to not just to our clients’ and their family members, but also our carer to ensure the highest quality care is provided. We are also regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), unlike introduction agencies who will simply provide you with a carer for you to manage yourself. They are supported by a Care Manager at our central office who handles all other aspects of care delivery to ensure a quality service is delivered, every time. Our care management team in Wiltshire only has a small portfolio of clients to support, enabling the care team to provide a highly personalised and quality live in care service in Wiltshire and beyond, whilst clients receive more levels of monitoring and day-to-day support.

A multidisciplinary approach

As an established live in care provider in Wiltshire, we have built strong relationships with local healthcare professionals, including GP’s, district nurses, local Clinical Commissioning Groups and other charitable organisations and community healthcare services. This means we can provide a multidisciplinary approach to care at home that is focused on improving health and well-being whilst avoiding any unnecessary hospital admissions and enabling swifter discharge from hospital. Karsh Davey Care Manager

I have worked in care homes for over 30 years, having started as a carer and then working my way up to becoming a Registered Manager. I have a wealth of experience in dementia care and enjoy supporting those who live with the condition and their families throughout their journey. I joined Oxford Aunts in June 2019 as a Care Manager. Given my previous experience of working in a care home, live in care has been an exciting chapter for me. It is wonderful to see clients being supported on a one-to-one basis in their own home, where they are healthier, happier and less prone to falls, UTIs and pressure area concerns due to quality of care provided by our carers. I really enjoy being part of the Oxford Aunts team.

As Care Manager at Oxford Aunts, I am responsible for ensuring our clients and their families have a dedicated point of contact who truly understands their requirements and can support their service. I have a deep understanding of our carers, not just in terms of their skills and experience, but their personalities and values. This means I can effectively match our carers with clients to ensure, not just their care needs are met but that the carer is aligned to how the client wishes to live their life. I work closely with our Care Assessor which means our clients have a highly personalised care plan that accurately reflect their needs. As part of our multidisciplinary approach to care I work closely with other healthcare professionals, including district nurses, physiotherapist and occupational therapists to ensure a holistic approach to care delivery.

As a Registered Manager, I have an NVQ Level 4 and LMC Award.

I have been working in the care industry for the past 14 years. I had previously been a house and pet sitter and I was asked by a client if I would be prepared to look after his elderly mother while he was on holiday. On his return he encouraged me to pursue a career in care and put me in touch with a live in care agency. I have never looked back and thoroughly enjoyed my role as a carer, which has been invaluable to me as I have progressed my career and become a Care Assessor

As a Care Assessor at Oxford Aunts, I am responsible for ensuring our clients can live well in their own homes with care and support from our live in carer, whilst providing the client, their families and our carers any support they may need. From the initial assessment of a client’s needs to the on-going review of our service, I provide high levels of support to ensure the standards of care Oxford Aunts are renowned for.
