All our carers have previous experience of care or nursing as we know this means they have the aptitude to deliver high-quality, live in care. Some are qualified nurses, many have UK care qualifications and others have overseas qualifications having worked in formal care settings. As many of our carers have been working for BlueBell Healthcare for a long time, it enables us to really understand their expertise, skills and personalities which enables a more effective matching process. Once a carer comes to live with you depending on your requirements, they will typically stay with you for several weeks or more, which means they truly understand your overall needs and how you wish to live your life, whilst offering deep-rooted companionship and continuity of care.
A rigorous recruitment process
At BlueBell Healthcare we are committed to attracting the very best carers. It all starts with our recruitment process where we carefully select carers against a comprehensive set of criteria that explores not only skills and experience, but backgrounds, interests and values so we can achieve effective matching with our clients. Unlike other home care providers, we ask our carers to complete a Situational Judgement Test (SJT) that assesses carer judgement in the context of delivering care to ensure those we hire have what it takes to deliver high-quality live in care to our clients.
As part of our recruitment process we obtain police checks in both the UK and the carers home country, in addition to ensuring we have Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks completed.
